The video is less than 5 minutes, but the process itself will take 35 minutes up to a couple of hours.
Make sure you have paper and a pen that works at hand to take notes.
You will need to provide your Social Security number. If you don't have one, you can still proceed, but your application will be held up while an alternative number gets processed through the IRS.
Have your Driver's License or State ID at your side. You'll need to enter your name exactly as it appears on your license.
Open your e-mail app before you start.
You will be completing a legal document, so read carefully as you go. If you get too sloppy with your answers, you could inadvertently be committing fraud.
